I'm rating Loco Willy's 5 stars. It is not the Ritz, but it is perfect at being what it is - a local bar with great food and drinks at a reasonable price. You cannot beat the Nacho Loco! Beef, chicken, cheese dip, beans, guacamole and more. It is easily a meal for 2. My favorite though is the Texas Toothpicks. They are kind of like a taquito but with a more bready crust. The sauce that comes with them is super good. Sort of a ranch but with something else in it. Not sure the flavor. Just know it's good! Another fan favorite is the Willenburger.......there are so many possible toppings you can create your dream burger. Wings are great too! Smoked or fried, depends on if I am feeling like a healthy eater or not. My favorite are the Carolina Q. There is smoking outside which is the only drawback for me. Yet, he outside area is a fun place to go watch games in a friendly, neighborhood atmosphere. Great for kids too -during the day and dinner hour.
Just writing an update on L.W., since it's been a while since the last one. Loco Willy's is the local watering hole for many in the City of Marietta. Their lemon pepper wings are the best we've ever had. Real lemon and real pepper, not the stuff that comes out of a seasoning jar. They're cooked perfectly, too. Tuesdays are wing day. Buy 8, get 8 free. Only catch, you have to eat some there if you want to take them out, Always a way around crazy "rules." LOL :D The have a nice variety of wings, and we've never made a wrong choice. Martin makes AWESOME chili. Not too much cumin, if any at all, which I totally like. The chili is a L.W. secret, and it's not on the menu, so you have to ask one of your friendly servers for a cup or bowl. They have drink specials just about every day. Gr8 frozen drinks akin to Fat Tuesday's, just not as many. Sarah is an AWESOME server. Prompt, efficient, fun, and super friendly. We ALWAYS ask for her when we're here, but she starts after 5 p.m. :) Billy is also AWESOME. He runs around like crazy taking care of the customers. He's really on the ball. Funny, friendly, and fast! It's fun on the patio, especially when there's live music. When the weather is nice, they get packed on the weekends. Come a bit early if you want to sit outside. Haven't had a bad meal, and our drinks have always been good. Maddy is an awesome bartender. She's outside most of the time. Maybe one or two servers who needed to be retrained, or not in the serveUS industry at all. No smiles, not attentive, didn't clean up after we were done eating....those kinds of things really annoy me. Efficient servers trump Daisy Duke wearing, inexperienced servers any day. This place is for people of all ages. I see 20 somethings, and even 70 somethings. Hey, we ALL deserve to have fun. Eat, drink and be merry, I say.:)
Great nachos, stacked high with all the fixings. My favorite is the quesadilla, half steak, half shrimp with peppers and onions. Must be at least an inch thick and delicious.
